Song 2 starts with the same basic notes as in Song 1 but instead of starting on the down beat it starts on the second 8th note, or the upbeat of beat 1.
This is a very good way to change the phrasing and overall sound of a line, by moving the starting beat.
The second half of the song starting at bar 19 is similar to the begining with a slight rhythm change on bar 20.
There is an 8th note rest along with a 16th note line added, this is intentional in order to add syncopation. Again, try to pay attention to the changes in the rhythm's.
