Our bassist EJ Parker and I got new guitars at around the same time.
He got a Music Man Big Al 5-string bass and I got a Tom Anderson Telecaster.
In celebration of this important occasion I wrote this bluesy romp “The Adventures of Tom and Big Al” to feature our new instruments.
There’s a ripping, bluesy bass and guitar melody followed by some interplay between the two instruments,
then it’s into the solos over a 28-bar blues form: guitar solo, a roaring trumpet solo by Hu Dan Feng胡丹峰, and a chorus of drums and percussion courtesy of Chris Trzcinski and Leonardo Susi.
