    Song 8 starts out a bit bluesy, then goes into some more jazz style arpeggios and lines. Again, totally improvised so raw and edgy.
    There are some examples of chromatic lines and outside phrasing, which is basically playing notes which are not technically inside the chord tones.
    This is a great way to create tension in your playing.
    “Why would you want to create tension ?” you ask.
    You play tension so that when you do go back to the “sweet notes” (or notes within the diatonic scale) it makes them that much more dramatic.
    Tension always needs to be resolved
