Ferdinand Küchler (1867-1937) was a German violinist and violist, regarded during his lifetime as a leading violin pedagogue and composer of educational violin music. !
The Concertino in G major op.15 ’in the style of Vivaldi’ is an arrangement for viola of the violin concertino in D major.
It is one of Küchler’s most famous and played concertinos.
As in the original violin version it introduces the viola student to the Baroque style of playing.
By playing this concertino you will learn how to play and understand Baroque form, dances, bow strokes.!
