    Description

These lesson's will be devided into categories of different musical style's or Groove's. Each groove will contain 10 songs for solo electric guitar.I wrote the guitar TAB exactly the same as I played it myself. You can learn it this way and if you want to try your own fingering positions feel free to experiment. The style for groove 1 is a medium tempo shuffle feel with a jazz/blues feel. I tried to make it in the style of "Larry Carlton" or "Lee Ritenour"(a few of my guitar hero's).
Because it is a shuffle feel it is very important to play the 8th notes with a swing feel, try to pay close attention to this.
Rhythm and groove are very important in these example's.
    The Key is A and the chord's are quite simple, A maj7/C# min7/B min7/E 11(D/E).
Song 1 is focused on playing the key chord tones over each chord in order to become familiar with the positions on the neck.
For example, an A maj7 chord will consist of A,C#,E,G#. I use a lot of slides, bends, hammer-ons, and pull-offs so try to be aware of these.
The first half of the song is played as straight 8th notes (swung of course !),the second half changes adding 8th note triplets
