    Description

    I wrote “The Ride Home” one late night on the way home from my gig at the JZ Club in Shanghai.
    It’s a simple AABA form with a soca inspired rhythm which is so much fun to play.
    Soca music came to prominence in the 1970’s and 80’s in the Carribean islands of Trinidad and Tobago.
    Great solos by Hu Dan Feng 胡丹峰 on the trumpet and Kevin Hu 胡清文 on the trombone.
