Description

I wrote most of “The Rusty Rails” on a train ride from Beijing back to Shanghai where I live, thus the name.
The tune’s a funky shuffle in G minor with a lot of punch and blues.
It’s a great tune for guitar comping, I love just laying into those quarter notes!
It features a gritty guitar solo by myself and a fantastic trombone solo by Kevin Hu 胡清文.
It also features the super tight RGP horn section of Hu Dan Feng 胡丹峰, Toby Mak, Alec Haavik, and Kevin Hu.
