    Description

Song 6 is a good excercise to strengthen the left hand (that is if your a right handed player).
It starts with a nice sextuplet lick and lots of pull-offs.
There is also the use of pick harmonics, which is where you use part of your thumb and palm in your picked hand to rub against the string as you pick to create certain harmonics.
I’ve marked on the score where I use this technique, you can experiment yourself with this technique to create your own sounds.
It is especially common in rock guitar and has been used by everyone from Billy Gibbons to Zakk Wylde .
